Mission group confident on future

Mission Marketing Group, owner of RLA Group and Bray Leino, says its agencies are “well positioned” in the current economic climate and is “confident” it can continue to deliver new business success.

Posting results for the year ended December 31, the marketing services group’s chairman, the Rt. Hon Francis Maude MP, says that the company’s strategy to build a “dynamic” national communications group is paying off despite the “pain being experienced by most client companies”.

The group says pre-tax profit rose 37% to £7.2m last year on turnover of £104.2m, up 31% on 2007.

Operating income increased 29% while the group says it registered a “robust” margin performance at over 20%.

New business wins in the period included Scottish Government, UK Border Agency, Royal Mint, Remington, Breakthrough Breast Cancer and Logica.

Shares in the company, which adds that current trading is in line with its own expectations, were up 12.68% this morning (April 16).
