Publicis Groupe has won the advertising business for Hewlett Packard’s estimated £88 million personal systems group (PSG) for Europe, Middle East and Africa.
The PSG division has handed its digital communications brief for EMEA to Publicis Modem, part of Publicis Worldwide, and its advertising to Saatchi & Saatchi Geneva. The previous incumbent was McCann Erickson, which won the business in March 2006.
The pitch was called in December and the winning Publicis Groupe team co-led by Richard Pinder, chief operating officer of Publicis Worldwide and Pedro Simko, chairman of Saatchi & Saatchi Geneva and EMEA chief marketing officer.
The HP division handles the personal computer laptops and handheld devices and is based in Geneva.
In February Hewlett Packard handed the £150 million global media planning and buying duties for the Technology Solutions Group. The business was previously held by ZenithOptimedia.
