Football’s world governing body FIFA is to launch its own range of branded clothes.
The football association has signed a deal that will see five collections, which will be for men and women, launched in August, from what it calls the “preppy 1904” range to a more youthful trophy range.
The body will work in partnership with brand management company Global Brands Group to develop the clothes, which will include FIFA-branded T-Shirts and Jackets.
The clothing will be available in partnership stores and new official FIFA stores, the first of which opened in Changi airport in Singapore with another planned to open in Paris this September.
Agreements have also been agreed with distributers in five territories including Fireblade in the UK and Total Apparel Group in the US with deals in three further deals pending and six more identified.
The collections will be on show at trade shows over the coming months.
