Peugeot drafts in UK managing director

Peugeot has appointed Belgium and Luxembourg managing director, Jonathan Goodman, into the same role in the UK.

He is to take over from Pierre Louis Colin who is moving to Paris to become director of strategy and programmes for electric and diesel hybrid vehicles.

Colin had been in his UK role for over three years. The changes will be effective June 1.

Goodman joined the company in 1986, with the first 11 years spent within Peugeot UK before undertaking a series of roles for Peugeot throughout Europe.

He returned to the UK in 2002 to become marketing director for Peugeot UK, followed in 2005 by the post of director of corporate communications for PSA based in London.

Since 2007, he has been the managing director for Peugeot Belgium and Luxembourg.

Earlier this month Peugeot launched a direct marketing campaign to support the launch of its new luxury model, the 308 CC.

The campaign, created by CMW, has been aimed primarily at existing Peugeot drivers, with selected consumers sent a personalised invitation to attend VIP Test Drive events at upmarket country hotels.
