Williams Formula 1 team has appointed Adam & Eve to handle brand consultancy as it looks for new sponsorship opportunities.
The agency will work on positioning Williams Grand Prix Engineering, which manages Williams F1 and will also develop promotional video for the brand.
Williams F1 currently has a title sponsorship deal with telecommunications AT&T as well as a number of other partnerships including Allianz and Philips.
The team also has a sponsorship deal with Royal Bank of Scotland although the troubled bank recently announced it is to end the sponsorship at the end of the 2010 season after reporting huge losses this year. The AT&T Williams team today confirmed the launch of a new partnership with Ridge Solutions, one of Africa’s leading private sector companies, which is based in Angola, with interests in real estate, agriculture and natural resources. Ridge Solutions’ logo will appear on the nose of the AT&T Williams race cars and on the sleeve of the drivers’ uniforms from this weekend’s Monaco Grand Prix
F1 is currently engulfed in a row between the sports governing body and the Ferrari, Renault, Toyota, Red Bull and Toro Rosso teams over budget caps.
The teams say that they could withdraw from next year’s championship if the cap isn’t overturned and have until May 29 to sign up for the 2010 season.
