Nikon Europe is reviewing the pan-European advertising account for its imaging business which includes its range of cameras.
Agency Insight is handling the review and it is expected to meet with agencies within the next month with a view to consolidating the business into one agency.
It is not known at this stage who the incumbents are on the account.
The review is expected to be completed by September 1.
Last month, Nikon appointed DCH to handle its eCRM strategy and planning. The agency pitched against the incumbent SMP.
The agency will also create monthly newsletters and online communications to support new product launches.
The media account, held by MediaCom, is unaffected by the review.
Nikon has forecasted an annual net loss of 17bn yen this year, compared with a profit of 28.1bn yen in 2008.
