News Corp aims to extend ad serving deals with Google

News Corp wants to expand existing advertising agreements with Google across more of its online properties, according to the media giant’s head of digital.

Jonathan Miller, chief digital officer at News Corp, revealed at the All Things Digital conference in California, that the media giant is looking into ways to extend its current ad serving deals with Google.

Google currently serves search ads across News Corp-owned MySpace, but with that deal coming up for renegotiation the company is looking at ways to extend the relationship across other News Corp properties.

“When it comes time to negotiate, one of the things that can be helpful is looking at it from the overall News Corp perspective,” said Miller.

Other News Corp operations include News International, 20th Century Fox, Fox Broadcasting, AmericanIdol.com and Rotten Tomatoes.
