UTV Media picks MD for revived Sport
UTV Media is relaunching the recently acquired Sport magazine this Friday (12 June) and has promoted its radio sales director Adam Bullock to managing director for the magazine.
Bullock takes over from Greg Miall, who had been managing director of the title under previous owner Sport Media & Strategie but has now left.
The first issue under UTV ownership will be 48 pages and features Jenson Button as its cover star. Electronic Arts has booked a cover-wrap ad and brands booking ad space include Sky Sports, L’Oréal and Virgin Media.
UTV, which also owns national radio station TalkSport, bought the title last month after Sport Media & Strategie went into administration. The last issue appeared at the start of April.
Sport’s initial circulation will remain at about the 317,000 mark. Bullock will now focus on laying the foundations to “grow the brand”, according to a spokesman.
