BBC Worldwide’s Bradley-Jones to head BBC.com

BBC Worldwide has appointed Luke Bradley-Jones as MD of its international site BBC.com.

Bradley-Jones, formerly executive VP of digital media and business development at BBC Worldwide in New York, will steer the direction and management of the BBC.com business.

He joined BBC Worldwide in 2006 as head of strategy, before moving to the New York office in 2007 to launch the company’s US digital business. He replaces Kym Niblock, who is leaving after over two years in the role.

David Moody, BBC Worldwide’s director of strategy and MD of digital media, said, “Having led our digital ventures in the US for the past two years, Luke is the natural candidate to take over the reins at BBC.com, especially as we work towards the site’s first localised edition in the US next year.”

Bradley-Jones, said, “I’m coming into this role with BBC.com in great shape, having secured more than 400 advertisers in the 18 months since its commercial launch and commanding a consistently high position in its international competitive set.”

In April BBC Worldwide started offering behavioural targeting across its global sites (nma.co.uk 27 April 2009).
