The new user website, created in conjunction with digital research company eDigitalResearch, is being supported by an online and TV recruitment campaign to attract new panel members.
The panel offers a platform for viewers to express their opinions on a range of topical issues that could directly affect them, providing Sky News with immediate access to public opinion.
There is also a new feedback area for members to see results of earlier surveys and quick polls.
Simon Bucks, Sky News associate editor, says: “When panel members tell us what they think about topical issues, we can then use their input to contribute to our reporting across all our news platforms.
“Ultimately it helps us understand what our viewers want to see and, what the important issues are to them.”
