B&Q pushes exclusive ranges

B&Q, the home improvement retailer, is launching a £1m advertising campaign to promote its Cooke & Lewis kitchen ranges, as part of a strategy to push its exclusive offerings.

The 30 second ad, created by Rapier, will break tonight (June 25) across ITV regions and major satellite channels and will run for several weeks.

The ads will aim to showcase the quality and style of the Cooke & Lewis kitchens and features seven B&Q staffers, including Miss Wales contestant Natasha Suliman who recently hit the headlines for winning Miss Carmarthenshire.

It will also be the first TV ad featuring Cooke & Lewis.

Warren Scarr, B&Q marketing director, says: “This is a significant move for B&Q and a demonstration of the major improvements in our showroom customer offering.”

He adds that it recently announced an £18m expansion of its showroom business and is now investing in TV and press to promote its exclusive brands.
