NatMags rushes out Jackson magazine

The National Magazine Company is rushing out a Michael Jackson tribute magazine following his death at the end of last week.

The 132 page commemorative title will hit shelves across the UK tomorrow (June 30). It has been written, produced and edited by celebrity title Reveal editor Michael Butcher and his team.

The print run for “Michael Jackson, tribute to a legend” has been capped at 200,000 with a cover price of £2.99, and will be promoted via ads across the websites of NatMags consumer portfolio, including Cosmopolitan and Men’s Health.

The self-styled King of Pop died suddenly of heart failure at his LA mansion on Thursday (June 25), triggering a mass outpouring of grief and reaction around the world.

Music retailer HMV sold out of Jackson stock at its Oxford Street by the end of Friday (June 26), and his recently released “Number Ones” album went straight to the top of the UK album charts.

Six new entries in the UK singles chart were Jackson records, it was revealed yesterday (Sunday 28).
