Coca-Cola sponsors Somerset House gigs

Coca-Cola is to be the headline sponsor of the Summer Series of music concerts at Somerset House featuring Grace Jones (pictured), Calvin Harris and others.

Harris is the creator of the soundtrack for Coca-Cola’s Open Happiness ad “Yeah Yeah Yeah, La La La” . The campaign launched in May and was created by Mother.

The series of concerts at London’s Somerset House run from July 9 to July 20 and also include Lily Allen, Super Furry Animals and The Enemy. The partnership between Coca-Cola and Somerset House was put together by live music commercial agency Big Fish.

Cathryn Sleight, marketing director of Coca-Cola, says: “Coca-Cola has a heritage of involvement and support of music.”

Grolsch is a previous sponsor of the event and was associated with the concert series from 2004 to 2006.
