Bauer Media has appointed Tina Finch to the newly created role of marketing and communications director for radio stations Magic 105.4 and Kiss.

Finch, a former marketing director at Global Radio’s Heart station, joins from Bauer’s central marketing team where she was head of marketing for Closer, Top Sante and Bauer’s parenting magazine portfolio.

She joins as the firm launches a major push for flagship London station, Magic 105.4

The user-generated “Magic Loves London” television, outdoor, online, experiential and PR activity launched last month and uses images submitted by Magic 105.4 listeners of what they love most about life in their part of London.

According to the last Rajar’s, Magic 105.4 retained its position as London’s top commercial radio station in terms of reach with 2.05m listeners.

Bauer Media is currently searching for a chief marketing officer after Andria Vidler announced in April she was leaving to join EMI Music as president for the UK and Ireland.

Finch will take up her new role on 3rd August.
