Castrol drafts BP retail director
Castrol, the motor oil company, has appointed former BP director Chris Sedgwick as marketing director for UK and Ireland.

He has replaced Will Eden who has moved into the role of Castrol European franchise workshop marketing manager.
Sedgwick had previously worked at BP for six years where he started out as retail marketing director and then moved into the role of global retail innovation director.
He has also had fourteen years experience in the FMCG sector, working for global brands including Cadbury Schweppes and Costa Coffee.
It comes as BP Lubricants, parent company of Castrol, appoints former Anheuser-Busch UK marketing director Vicki Kipling to the role of global marketing communications manager
Kipling will work with the company’s creative and media agencies and on Castrol’s sponsorship of the FIFA World Cup.
Last month, Castrol appointed Simon Meehan as sponsorship manager for Europe and Africa.
Meehan now oversees the motor oil company’s partnership with FIFA for the 2012 and 2014 World Cup tournaments.
He joined from Ford Europe where he was in charge of the UEFA Champions League sponsorship programme and Ford’s World Rally Car sponsorship in 2007.
