Software vendor poaches Wunderloop number two for UK launch

The European marketing leader in multi-channel marketing software is opening its UK operation with a former behavioural targeting technology boss as its head. Turlough Martin joins Agilic from Wunderloop, where he was the second employee to be hired. He becomes managing director with responsibility for building the UK team.

Turlough Martin, managing director, Agillic UK, says: “Online marketers in the UK are becoming increasingly sophisticated in their campaigns, integrating behavioral targeting and email with mobile marketing, call centre interaction and point of sale activity. I have joined Agillic because I can see the massive potential for the platform in the UK. It’s no longer good enough to talk to customers in silos. Conversations must be immediate and interactive across multiple platforms.”

Agilic is headquartered in Denmark and also has offices in the Ukraine. Clients include Danish Railways, Telenor, Toyota and agency networks OgilvyOne and Wunderman. Its software supports multi-channel marketing activity, both above and below the line, based on individual behaviour.

Carsten Hyldahl, founder and CEO of Agillic, says: “Marketers are looking for partners and products that can enable joined-up conversations with their customers across multiple touchpoints – in real time, both on and offline, and throughout the customer lifecycle. Online marketers are getting more sophisticated in their campaigns, tying in behavioral targeting as well as new channels such as mobile marketing.”

He adds: “Traditional agencies are being pushed to leverage digital channels in the offline campaigns they make. These trends work strongly in our favour as this is the exact proposition we bring to companies and their agencies. We have grown substantially over the past nine months and now is the time for us to maximise the opportunity in the UK.”
