Bouvier is returning to Paris to head-up marketing for its electric car products operations for Europe after spending two years with the UK division.

Renault, which reported a 60% drop in sales in the first six months of 2009, says it doesn’t expect the European car industry to recover until 2011.

CEO Carlos Ghosn says he is “not expecting an immediate recovery,” and is expecting 2010 to be “as difficult as 2009.

He added during an interview with a European radio station that the end of scrappage schemes in European markets – whereby governments fund cash bonuses for drivers exchanging old cars for new could be difficult.
