The post has been created to strengthen Vue’s marketing operations and expand its portfolio of leading-edge products and services. He reports to sales and marketing director Mark de Quervain.

Heale joins Vue Entertainment from the position of director of marketing and sales at the budget hotel chain.

Prior to Travelodge, Daniel worked in a number of senior marketing roles, including head of media and marketing for the National Lottery at Camelot Group.

In his new role, Daniel will lead a team of eight including the recently appointed digital and CRM Manager, Alexander Montuschi who joined from Lastminute.com and merchandising manager, Phil D’Souza, who previously worked at B&Q.

Daniel will oversee the development of communications strategies for new Vue initiatives including the Over 18s and Mystery Movies strands and Superior Seating offering.

He will also take charge of the roll-out of RealD 3D systems across an additional 31 Vue cinema. The 3D experience is seen as the next development to give cinema a competitive edge in the battle with other leisure pursuits for the customer pound.

He will also be responsible for e-commerce, CRM, in cinema merchandising, marketing and PR communications.

De Quervain, sales and marketing director, says: “Daniel’s role is vital to our marketing function and will provide invaluable support to allow exciting new initiatives to be completed to benefit our customers.”

Vue was formed in 2003 and its rivals in its sector include the Odeon and Cineworld cinema chains.
