B&Q awards McCann Erickson £40m account
B&Q, the DIY retailer, has award its £40m advertising account to McCann Erickson following a pitch.

The agency went up against WCRS, Miles Calcraft Briginshaw Duffy and Rapier. The review was handled by the AAR.
JWT was the previous incumbent on the account until last year. Rapier was then appointed to handle a project at the beginning of this year.
In April B&Q moved its entire PR account into Z PR after its long-term incumbents Hill & Knowlton and Red Consultancy declined to repitch for the business.
Meanwhile, Warren Scarr was appointed to the role of B&Q marketing director at the beginning of the year. He replaced Jo Kenrick who left the company in December.
Scarr was previously director of brand advertising. He reports to commercial director, John Colley.
Earlier today (July 15) the AAR said a decision on B&Q’s new ad agency had not been made.
