RBH wins regional heat of CBS Outdoor contest

Midlands creative agency RBH is the winner of CBS Outdoor’s Regional Creative Challenge 2009.

RBH claimed nearly two thirds of the vote and win first place for its brilliant design for Freya Lingerie (Eveden).

RBH joins the finalists of the London Creative Challenge in the Grand Prix round for which online voting has opened.

The media and creative industries now have until 23 July to select the winner of the London Creative Challenge Grand Prix round by voting for their favourite designs at www.upeveryonesstreet.co.uk

The vote will be combined with the judge’s vote at the Grand Prix event, taking place at Battersea Park on the 24th July. The winning agency will receive a free bus media campaign and a UK break for the winning creative team.

CBS Outdoor tasked creative agencies all over the country to come up with the most engaging and innovative campaigns for the bus advertising medium. Agencies have been submitting entries since January and online votes created a shortlist of thirteen designs for the Grand Prix.

Regional winner RBH with their “There’s more room up top” creative for Freya Lingerie (Eveden) will be joined by the winner of the Wild Card category, Bluefrog, which highlights the early symptoms of prostate cancer. The Scottish entry, Union, is also in the running alongside many other agencies including Saatchi & Saatchi, VCCP and Toucan.

Peter Charlton, National Sales Director, at CBS Outdoor says: “We launched the challenge to get the industry thinking about how they could creatively use the bus medium to get maximum standout for their client. The entries are all outstanding and I look forward to seeing the results of the vote.”

The winner will be decided by 50% online vote and 50% judge’s vote. The judges are a select panel who will be invited down to Battersea Park on 24th July to view the ads posted live on London buses which will then drive past the panel. The overall winner will be announced at the end of the day.
