Katz latest to leave MySpace

MySpace senior vice president and MD Travis Katz is the lastest senior executive to leave the social networking company.

Myspace

Katz, who has been with the News Corp-owned social network since 2006, will be replaced by Europe and Australia general manager Rebeckah Horne.

Katz’s departure follows a number of senior executives, including senior VP of audience Jay Stevens and UK MD Anthony Lukom.

CEO Owen Van Natta confirmed the changes in a memo to staff. “International will continue to be a major priority for MySpace going forward and I’m proud to announce that Rebekah Horne, formerly our GM of Europe and Australia, will be taking over as MD and SVP of International.”

MySpace is undergoing a major reorganisation after its announcement in June to cut 30% of its US workforce (nma.co.uk 17 June 2009) and 300 of its 450 staff internationally
