The special-interest magazine group has poached Trinity Mirror’s Jessica Healy as its debut head of search, affiliate and social media which effectively puts her as head of its digital marketing team.

Healy will be responsible for growing traffic to Future’s sites and developing its social media strategy.

Meanwhile senior digital marketing executive James Morrell has been promoted to affiliate manager where he will be tasked with finding new digital revenue streams for the group.

The publisher is also looking to fill a search marketing manager role to complete the team. All three posts report directly to digital director Richard Foster.

The group has just added a photography site PhotoRadar to its online portfolio, which also includes BikeRadar, MusicRadar and GamesRadar.

In May Future reported revenue fell 11% without the effect of currency exchange in the six months to the end of March with circulation and ad revenues down 10% and 15% respectively.

It says fall was driven by a 16% drop in US revenues. UK revenues fell by 8%
