His remit includes overseeing marketing responsibilities in the UK and sees him joining the management team of the consumer business unit.
He has taken over from Batchelor who was in the role for less than a year. The latter was previously marketing director for Royal Mail.
Pakiry joined TomTom nine month ago as vice president of sales for southern Europe, managing a team of 40 people throughout France, Italy, Spain and Portugal.
In this new position, he will be responsible for managing the consumer brand and all consumer-related marketing and communication activities. He will report to TomTom managing director Corinne Vigreux.
Prior to TomTom, Pakiry served four years at Logitech as country manager France.
Other previous roles include at Ubi Soft and Guillemot Corp. where he held several management positions in sales, marketing and business development in North America and Europe.
It is still not known if Batchelor has a job to go to.
