She joins from PruHealth, the health insurance joint venture backed by Prudential, where she held the position of marketing director.

Her responsibilities will include brand strategy, PR, proposition development and marcomms. She will be also tasked with bolstering the direct marketing focus of the existing team.

According to a statement, she will be asked to undertake a review of the Endsleigh brand.

She replaces Ian Passmore who was promoted to managing director in April.

The company claims the appointment “clearly signals Endsleigh’s desire to continue strengthening its specialist brand position within its core markets.”

Endsleigh was founded in 1965 to serve the student market but now offers motor, home and travel insurance in addition to student insurance.

Earlier this year, the insurer appointed I Spy Search to handle its paid search business.
