Hogan steps up from his current role as head of direct marketing and replaces Katie Ancliffe who has left to become head of marketing for student insurer Endsleigh earlier this month.

He will continue to oversee DM and will not be replaced in that role. Hogan will lead a team of 15 and report in to PruHealth’s head of research and development, Tal Gilbert.

The appointment comes six months after PruHealth rebranded to include the Prudential’s iconic brand character Prudence, created by Wally Olins in 1986, for the first time.

The move to use the character in its branding aligns aimed to align PruHealth more closely with the masterbrand.

Private medical insurance provider PruHealth is a joint venture between Prudential in the UK and Discovery in South Africa. It is led by chief executive officer Shaun Matisonn.
