The appointed agency will handle communications for EEDA corporate and strategic issues.

The head of marketing position at EEDA is currently held under a jobshare arrangement between Vivien Teckoe and Jane Neufville.

EEDA is the government body responsible for driving economic growth and regeneration in the region. The area under the development agency’s remit includes the six counties of Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk, Suffolk and the unitary authorities of Peterborough, Luton, Southend-on-Sea and Thurrock.

The region’s economy is worth over £109.9 billion a year and it is home to over 430,000 businesses.

It also channels the funding for East of England tourism.
