Cash4Gold appoints ex-eBay marketer

Ex-eBay marketer David Knight has joined U.S. online cash converting business, Cash4Gold, as senior VP of International marketing and expansion.

Knight previously held the VP internal communication position at eBay and prior to that was VP of international marketing.

He helped founders Jeff Aronson and Howard Mofshin launch Cash4Gold in the UK earlier this year and will be responsible for the company’s international marketing strategy and further expansion as well as raising the brand’s profile.

The company is an online service that swaps unwanted jewellery from the public for cash by post and already has a strong base in the U.S.

Before joining eBay, Knight was at PepsiCo for 19 years, where his roles included international marketing VP for Gatorade.

In a sign of the times, Cash4Gold took one of the prime time ad slots during the U.S. Super Bowl in February. The slots are usually filled by premium advertisers such as General Motors and FedEx.
