Breakthrough Breast Cancer unveils new brand identity

UK charity Breakthrough Breast Cancer will reveal a new brand identity and website as part of a new five-year strategy tomorrow (11 August).

The charity wanted a bold identity to mark a new way of communicating its goals and engage supporters. It also hopes the new brand identity will maximise its impact during Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October.

Branding consultancy Brandsmiths worked with the charity for 18 months reviewing and developing a brand position that would communicate Breakthrough’s determination and optimism.

Design agency, Hat-Trick Design created the visual identity, including a bold logo, strong copy and photography of breast cancer survivors.

The charity has also redesigned its website to encourage more interaction with people affected by breast cancer, supporters and partner organisations. The site was designed by web development agency Torchbox.

Breakthrough Breast Cancer aims to remove the fear of breast cancer through research, campaigning, and education. The charity is supported by celebrities including Jade Jagger, Elle McPherson and Twiggy.
