EMC to be new sponsor of London Wasps

Guinness Premiership rugby unction side London Wasps has appointed EMC as its new club sponsor in a £1 million deal over two years.


EMC is a developer and provider of information infrastructure technology and solutions for businesses and organisations.

It replaces Magners Irish Cider as sponsor of the rugby team.

The partnership will provide Wasps with an opportunity to develop their communication platforms via access to EMC’s technology expertise. This will in turn deliver significant benefits to Wasps supporters and stakeholders as well as the Club’s business in an operational capacity.

EMC has had Official Partner status with Wasps for the past two seasons.

London Wasps executive chairman, Mark Rigby says, “Given the current financial climate, this undoubtedly shows a combined strength of two brands that not only have reciprocal commercial appeals but whose values come together so robustly.

“EMC’s expertise provides us with a fantastic opportunity to look closely at how we use information and how we can really unlock, even more significantly, the value of our business and the information that we hold. In turn we hope that this will impact our supporters and increase their interaction and enjoyment with the Club.”

EMC has its UK headquarters in Brentford, Middlesex and global headquarters are just outside of Boston, USA
