EasyJet chooses Dana Dunne as commercial chief
EasyJet has named former AOL Europe CEO Dana Dunne as its new chief commercial officer.
He tales over the position at the low cost airline from Saad Hammad and the appointment has been unveiled shortly after easyJet announced it is to shut a number of routes and lay off staff.
Dunne resigned from AOL Europe in February. He joined the company in June 2007 and is also a former president of a Belgian telecoms company Belgacom business unit. He has also led McKinsey and Co’s telecoms practice.
Hammad is leaving easyJet to join private equity firm Gores Group as managing director. He joined the airline in 2005 and restarted an advertising agency pitch.
EasyJet also recently promoted brand communications manager Andrew Berks to the new role of head of marketing services.
