It latest £14m campaign, created by DCH, features Dragons’ Den entrepreneur Peter Jones and focuses on appealing to consumers’ financial concerns.

It is not known at this stage how the price comparison site is planning to overhaul its marketing strategy.

It is understood that MCBD won out in a pitch process that included Fallon. The review was handled by the AAR.

The appointment follows the success of rival’s recent ad campaign featuring the meerkat character Aleksandr Orlov

Meanwhile, this year awarded PHD its media account.

It is currently pitching its £25m advertising business, with Iris, McCann Erickson and Krow on the shortlist. Last year, Farm was appointed as the business’ first retained ad agency.

In other marketing activity, recently launched its first multimillion-pound brand campaign featuring an Italian opera singer.
