Publicis agrees mobile deal with Microsoft

Phonevalley, the Publicis Groupe owned mobile marketing agency, has signed a deal with Microsoft to create a customised mobile advertising solutions for brands.

The agency, which will also offer technology and metrics, will run the service across the technology company’s mobile web properties including the Microsoft Media Network, Bing and MSN.

The packaged solutions will be available in 14 markets worldwide, including the US, the UK, France, Italy, Spain and Germany.

The two will design mobile advertising solutions for six industry sectors – luxury, retail, entertainment, automotive, travel and financial services.

Additionally, the service will offer brands sector research and post test results.

Publicis Groupe has been expanding its digital offering recently with the acquisition of Unilever’s customer relationship management (CRM) programme in France, known as Pour Tout Vous Dire, last month.

This deal followed the purchase of digital ad agency network Razorfish from Microsoft in August.

The addition of Razorfish to Publicis Groupe, which owns agencies including Saatchi & Saatchi, Leo Burnett and ZenithOptimedia, will see it generate about 25% of its annual revenue from the digital sector.
