Bounty to sponsor Celeb Mum award

Bounty.com the UK’s largest online parenting network is to sponsor Celebrity Mum of the Year.

The publicly voted for competition is in its ninth year and recognises famous mothers that have impressed the public with their ability to combine a career in the public eye with the pressures of parenting.

Last year’s winner was Suzanne Shaw, and the title has previously been held by Katie Price and Kerry Katona.

Commenting on the recent publicity surrounding previous winners a spokesperson says: “At the time the winners have been doing fantastically well juggling career and kids, but sometimes they can fall from their perch.”

Faye Mingo, parenting spokesperson for Bounty.com says: “Mums are often interested in famous mums in the public eye and even though celeb mums lead different lifestyles they still experience the same highs and lows of family life.  It’s great that the coveted award is championed by the public and we expect lots of enthusiastic debate around who should take the prize.”

The public can cast their votes online and the winner will be announced on 5th November.

Previous sponsors of the annual award have included Nestle Quality Street, and the Freeman’s catalogue.

Kerry Katona was recently dropped by food retailer Iceland as the face of its advertising campaigns after a weekend paper showed the star allegedly snorting drugs.
