MCCA hires agency selection expert

The Marketing Communications Consultants Association (MCCA) has recruited former Agency Insight and AAR consultant Julie Constable to head up the trade body’s agency-client intermediary service.

The appointment signals a more formalized approach to providing an agency selection service for members of the trade body.

In her role as agency selection consultant, Constable’s first task will be to review and improve the MCCA existing selection proposition in order to help clients find the best agency partners for any marketing discipline through a professional pitch process.

Constable (pictured) has worked for more than 10 years at intermediary organisations and has spent the last two at Agency Insight.

While at the AAR she was head of direct and integrated marketing and she has also worked client and agency side, including eight years as an account director at Craik Jones (now part of Proximity).

The MCCA has recently handled pitches for Palm and Total.

Constable says: “Built on best practice, I can tell you the pitch service will be highly professional, flexible, fair, consultative and in today’s climate, affordable. Having worked within two commercial intermediaries, one with paid for agency membership and the other completely client focused, I know the challenges faced by both parties within the pitch process and will bring this experience to this innovative organisation.”
