Ex-Scout head to shape zoo charity’s CRM programme

The Zoological Society of London (ZSL) has appointed James Wren as its first head of CRM and membership.

Wren was previously head of marketing and membership at the Scout Association.

The new role gives Wren responsibility for shaping the entire CRM and membership strategy for the conservation charity. ZSL is keen to develop database segmentation for members so it can deliver targeted direct marketing and online marketing campaigns.

ZSL is devoted to the conservation of animals and their habitats worldwide. It runs ZSL London Zoo and Whipsnade Zoo as well as the Institute of Zoology.

Friends of ZSL have unlimited entry to the zoos and members’ events and discounts on society merchandise.

The position reports to marketing and communications director Richard Storton.
