Market research body names Finn Raben as director general

Esomar, the world organisation for opinion and marketing research, has appointed Finn Raben as its new director general.

Raben (pictured) has a long career in market research, starting at Millward Brown IMS and including TNS. He joins Esomar from the position of CEO of Southern Europe at Synovate, where he was responsible for integrating and harmonising the many companies acquired in the region, into the Synovate offering.

At TNS he worked with a number of major global clients, including Procter & Gamble, McDonald’s and Microsoft as global director of planning and co-ordination for key accounts.

Gunilla Broadbent, president of Esomar says of the appointment, “I am delighted to announce Finn Raben as the new director general of Esomar. Finn has a wealth of experience in research, managing global client relationships and running businesses. He is a market researcher, strategist, pragmatist and linguist with a highly international outlook and I know his impressive combination of skills and experience will have a positive impact on us all at Esomar.”
