Change4Life reveals Snack Swap initiative

The Department for Health has launched the latest phase of its Change4Life campaign aimed at helping parents and kids find healthier alternatives to unhealthy snacks.

The 40-second “Snack Swapper Wheel” television spot will break today featuring the characters created by Wallace & Gromit creators Aardman Animations, featured in previous Change4Life campaigns.

The “snack wheel” has been developed with nutritionists to help families cut back on foods containing high levels of sugar, salt and fat such as cakes in favour of fruit, and can be used on the move.

Children and parents can turn the wheel to their usual pudding, breakfast food or snack and it will identify a healthy alternative.

Last week, Change4Life signed a three-month deal to sponsor The Simpsons on Channel 4.

The Snack Swapper is part of Change4Life’s drive to encourage families to make simple changes to live healthier lives.
