The agency won the account after a three-way pitch including Ikea’s incumbent agency, MediaCom, which has held the account for 10 years.
Vizeum will take over the media account in January 2010.
Ikea has tasked the agency to move the retail business forward with a fresh approach.

In September, the Swedish retailer staged a “takeover” of the London Lite, appearing in every display advertising space in the 10 September edition of the free newspaper to promote its new catalogue.
