Shopping centres launch Christmas campaigns

Lakeside and Meadowhall shopping centres have launched campaigns to drive footfall during the Christmas period.

Lakeside, the Essex shopping destination, appointed Baber Smith to create a “feel good” integrated campaign to encourage repeat visits and attract lapsed shoppers.

Using the tag line “Feel Good Shopping” Lakeside hopes to reflect the positive relationships shoppers have with the centre with outdoor, press, digital, direct mail, and point of sale marketing activity.

Yorkshire ‘s Meadowhall shopping centre has launched a regional television campaign building on the brands that have recently opened in the centre including Kurt Geiger, Hollister GIVe and Radley.

The 30-second TV ad will air from today (6 November) and appear during ITV programmes including The X Factor, This Morning and Emmerdale.

The campaign, created by Klein O’Rorke will be supported with radio, press and outdoor activity and will form the basis of Meadowhall’s 2010 advertising.
