Waitrose reveals Festive campaign

Waitrose has revealed its Christmas advertising campaign, which stars classical singer Camilla Kerslake.

The campaign, created by MCBD, focuses on the theme of “home” and the role of food in bringing people together at Christmas. The campaign uses the strapline ‘At Christmas, there’s only one place to be’ and builds on last year’s Christmas campaign.

The ad will show a student, a soldier and a fisherman traveling home for Christmas, interspersed with images of Waitrose festive food.

Kerslake has recorded an exclusive track for the grocer’s Christmas campaign, which will also appear on the singer’s debut album, se to be released during the festive season on Take That singer Gary Barlow’s record label.

The singer will also perform at Waitrose’ The Taste of Christmas festival.

Waitrose will also launch a press campaign promoting its high-end festive foods, such as Venison mince pies.

The grocer has also launched a tactical TV and press campaign highlighting promotions on Christmas food and drink including 25% off six bottles of wine and champagne and half price mince pies.

The ad will break on 11 November.
