His resignation will be effective from 15 December. The company says Klein left for personal reasons, following a leave of absence in September.
Peter Robinson, Burger King’s former president of the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) business will oversee global marketing in the interim while the fast food company searches for a replacement.
Robinson has worked previously in marketing roles with brands such as the Frito-Lay International Division of PepsiCo, Kraft General Foods and Procter & Gamble.
