Meerkat meets Hasselhoff to promote comparethemarket.com

Comparethemarket.com is launching another initiative featuring its meerkat brand icon Aleksandr in the form of a podcast, starring David Hasselhoff as the first guest.

The show will support the wider campaign featuring Aleksandr the meerkat that has been devised to promote comparethemarket.com above rival financial comparison sites.

The over-arching campaign has been created by Vallance Carruthers Coleman Priest and has used a number of channels, including social media tools such as Facebook and Twitter.

The first ‘Meerchat’ monthly podcast airs today (13 November) and will be available for download on the website comparethemeerkat.com.

Rival comparison site Confused.com has just appointed advertising agency Beattie McGuiness Bungay to develop a new marketing campaign.
