Bauer Media to launch range of iPhone apps

Bauer Media is to launch iPhone apps for more than 80 of its media brands including Magic 105.4, Closer, Grazia and Kerrang!.

Empire, Kiss and Parker’s are the first brands to launch apps. The Empire Movie Guide lets users read reviews of films, which can then be shared using Facebook, email and Twitter. The app provides a direct link to iTunes so movies can be purchased.

The Kiss Kube app streams both live and catch-up content. Users are also given access to Kiss interviews.

The Parker’s Deal Checker app provides users with a database of up-to-date prices for more than 32,000 cars.

The apps will be made available to download from the iTunes store over the next month, with the first three available now to purchase for £2.99 each.

Paul Keenan, CEO of Bauer Media, said the iPhone apps were “another illustration of innovation and our commitment to engaging audiences with their favourite brands”.
