Match.com ties up with Jamie Oliver

Online dating site match.com is partnering with Jamie Oliver to help further leverage its database of 6.5 million users.

The new service can be found at www.jamieoliver.com/dating and targets the food lovers among the dating community.

Visitors to the site can tap into match.com’s membership to find a partner. The site offers free registration and new members will be able to take advantage of all match.com’s profile writing tips and be able to use the advanced search functionality to help in their dating.

There will also be content featuring romantic recipe ideas from Oliver and a chance for new signups to win a meal for two at Jamie’s Italian Kitchen.

Jamie Oliver says: “My site and match.com both have great communities on them and hopefully, by partnering up, we’ll be able to bring single food lovers together and make some love matches – or maybe even a marriage – happen.”

Karl Gregory, marketing director at match.com adds: “This partnership brings dating to the Jamie Oliver community and gives people who are serious about food the chance to meet like-minded people.”

Match.com has just appointed Mother to handle its advertising and is looking to devise a new campaign for 2010.
