COI introduces new live events roster
The Central Office of Information (COI) has unveiled a new framework of live event agencies.
It has divided the live event roster into 10 divisions to meet the requirements of the Public Contract Regulations 2006 which requires that all suppliers “capable of performing the proposed contract” are invited to compete for each piece of business.
The framework allows agencies to compete for government and public sector work without a lengthy procurement process for every contract.
Briefs can be issued across individual as well as multiple divisions depending on requirements.
The roster is now made up of 125 agencies, 65% or which are new.
Agencies were selected on their capabilities and expertise across ten specialisms; live event production, experiential, facsimiles, event multi media production, events interactive technology, audio visual, writing and transcription, scenic, audio visual system and integration creative design, development and management of events, exhibitions and roadshows.
Simon Hughes, director of live events, says: “We’ve extended the range of suppliers on the framework in order to both focus our procurement processes and give our clients greater choice and flexibility. We’re very confident that we have the best mix of talent to help us devise great event solutions for our clients over the next few years.”
The new framework is effective from today. Last year the live event roster was worth £12m.
