Zamaretto takes up with call girls

InterContinental Brands’ Zamaretto range of flavoured amaretto liqueurs is to sponsor the third series of ITV2’s Secret Diary of A Call Girl, due to air in early 2010.

The drama, which stars Billie Piper, made headlines last month when the author of the original books, Belle du Jour, revealed her real identity

White Noise will create the sponsorship bumpers around the show.

John Mills MD of InterContinental Brands says: “Zamaretto flavoured amaretto responds to an emerging trend amongst young independent adults for smooth sophisticated drinks that add an element of glamour. Sponsorship of the Secret Diaries enables us to reach the influential super socialising target group that switch on to watch the adventures of one of the most intriguing young women of our time.”

The broadcast sponsorship deal for the latest series was negotiated by ITV Commercial and Jonny Kidd at Media Clarity. The previous sponsor for the show was sister brand Vodkat Smoothies.

Zamaretto recently sponsored ITV series Benidorm.
