Shepherd Neame names Libertine to handle online brief

Brewery and hotels group Shepherd Neame has handed responsibility for its digital marketing to Libertine.

Shepherd Neame

The agency already handles the offline advertising for Shepherd Neame’s beer brands, including Spitfire. It picked up the company’s digital remit after a pitch against Inferno and Kemistry.

Shepherd Neame intends to overhaul the digital marketing platform for its estate and its branded beers, which also includes Asahi, next year. The project will involve developing its online retail and inn accommodation booking sites, and will be designed to drive footfall into Shepherd Neame’s 390 pubs and hotels.

Graeme Craig, sales and marketing director, Shepherd Neame, says: “Libertine’s digital expertise and original ideas came through strongly during the pitch process and overall they were the right fit for this brief.”

Mark Brandis, managing partner at Libertine, adds:“This is an exciting project that will significantly enhance Shepherd Neame’s digital marketing capability – there are some huge opportunities for the estate and for the brands. We have a long and successful history with Shepherd Neame’s brands, particularly Spitfire Premium Ale, and we look forward to working with them to create an original and unique digital offering.”
