The brand hopes to create an online conversation about its eco-shoes amongst bloggers and consumers by hosting a shoe swap and competition.
Simple has offered fashion and environmental bloggers a free pair of shoes but instead will send out mismatched pairs. Bloggers will be sent one of the shoes they requested, and one requested by somebody else.
They will then be encouraged to seek out their shoe partner via twitter and reunite the pairs using social media postal service SendSocial.com, which helps users deliver items via post without the need to disclose their address.
The online campaign includes a brand blog which will host a competition, which offers consumers the chance to win a pair of Simple eco shoes.
The campaign is being developed by We Are Social.
Becky Chambers, international marketing manager at Simple Shoes, says: “Our shoes are all about showing you don’t you don’t have to compromise on design or comfort because your shoes are ethically made. Getting people to try our shoes is an important way to get this message across and the shoe swap means people can chat about the products.”
