John Lewis and Dell in exclusive partnership

John Lewis has teamed up with Dell to exclusively sell its newly launched Adamo XPS laptop in time for Christmas.

It is the first time Dell’s technology products will be available in a UK department store and will make John Lewis stores and online the only place to buy the laptop before Christmas.

Dell, the world’s second largest computer manufacturer, claims the 13.4-inch screen laptop is the world’s thinnest at 9.9mm, and it will “fit seamlessly onto the John Lewis shelves”.

Sarah Shields, director and general manager of Dell in northern Europe says: “People’s lifestyle’s have evolved and technology is now an intrinsic part of our lives. John Lewis department stores have a distinct heritage and trust and have always been at the cutting edge of delivering a wide range of high-quality, stylish products.”

In October, Dell launched a campaign featuring UK business entrepreneurs including Lonely Planet founder Tony Wheeler and Innocent Drinks co-founder Richard Reed, targeting small to medium businesses. http://www.marketingweek.co.uk/news/dell-campaign-targets-smes-with-heroes/3005718.article
