Santa prepares children for Christmas on digital radio

Digital Radio UK has launched a new Christmas themed digital radio station called Radio Lapland.

The station has been designed feature all the sounds of Santa’s workshop, including Father Christmas himself.

Radio Lapland aims to capture children’s imagination during the festive period, offering them an insight into how Santa and his elves are busy preparing for Christmas.

Digital radio platform operator Arqiva has provided the space for the channel free of charge and space on the Radio Lapland website will be offered to UK charities who have suitable Christmas messages and appeals to run.

Radio Lapland will be rolled out on digital radio during the next week in more than 20 regions across the UK including Plymouth, Cornwall, Cardiff & Newport and South Hampshire. You can also listen online nationwide at www.radiolapland.co.uk

Radio Lapland was created as part of the Digital Radio UK campaign to promote DAB radio.

Communications agency GallieGodfrey and independent radio producer Folded Wing have helped with the station’s launch.
